1. Using the DEB package
In the download section of Gaucho, we will have available a DEB package that we can use in Ubuntu 20.04. To do this, visit the download section of the application.
And download the DEB package available.
Then, install it by double-clicking on it to start the installation.
Alternatively, you can do it via terminal with this pair of commands:
wget https://github.com/angrykoala/gaucho/releases/download/1.0.0/gaucho_1.0.0_amd64.deb sudo apt install ./gaucho_1.0.0_amd64.deb
You can then run it from the main menu.
2. Install Gaucho on Ubuntu via Software Center
Another way to install Gaucho is by using the Ubuntu Software Center which is one of the most important shops in Linux.
So open it from the main menu and search for Gaucho.

Now you will see a screen showing all available information about the package. And to start the installation, click on the green Install button.
Then, it will start the installation process and you will be able to run it from the main menu.

There is a third method which is to use the snap command.

sudo snap install gaucho
You can then run it from the main menu.
Using Gaucho on Ubuntu 20.04
Once you run it from the main menu, you will see the main interface of the application.
In it, you will be shown some sample tasks and if you click on the edit button on the top right of the application you will be able to delete them or add another one.
To add one just click on the corresponding link and you will be able to give it a name, a command, and other options.
Finally, you can consult the application options from the main menu.
Removing Gaucho on Ubuntu 20.04
If you don’t want to use Gaucho anymore then the best thing to do is to remove it from the system. To do this, it depends on the installation method you have chosen.
In case you have used the first method to remove it from the system, just run.
sudo apt remove gaucho
In case you have installed Guacho from the Ubuntu Software Center, open it again and search for Gaucho in the search engine.
Now click on the package name and now the remove button will appear, click on it, and the uninstall process will start.
Finally, there is the third method which is via the snap command. To do this uninstall it by executing the following command
sudo snap remove gaucho
Then, you can uninstall it.
